The Tallahassee Builders Association (TBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) shine the spotlight on industry professionals who go the extra mile to attain advanced training and achieve specialized designations, especially those with the Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS) designation.

Professionals with the CAPS designation are helping home owners throughout our area identify practical and comprehensive aging-in-place solutions. Having been trained in the unique needs of older adults, CAPS remodelers and builders are well versed in a wide variety of techniques to enhance a home’s aesthetics, livability and value.

The ultimate symbol of the building professional, is the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) designation is for experienced veterans. Before earning the GMB designation process, a building professional must have earned the Certified Green Building (CGB) designation or the (Certified Green Remodeler) CGR designation with five years of building experience, or 10 years of building experience and successful completion of three CGB/CGR courses.

The TBA takes great pride in recognizing the importance of those members who have attained additional credentials in their field.
